The GLOBE water investigations help us to understand our natural environment and to what extent human activities are affecting the quality of our water. We can also develop a better understanding of our land and water resources to help make decisions about how we use, manage and enjoy water resources. An additional activity involves identification of Macroinvertebrates in water samples, which can be a valuable indicator of pollution levels.
