Activity 1: Fuel for Thought – energy profile for school
Pupils will measure the energy use of the school, looking at the different sources of the energy used. They can then compare this to the local climate in terms of average temperatures each month. 

Activity 2: An Efficient School - surveying energy saving measures
Pupils will look around the school and identify all energy efficient measures that are and can be taken.

Activity 3: How Bright is Light? - survey of school lighting
Pupils will check the wattage of light bulbs and carry out a check to find out how long each light is on. They will work out how many units of energy are used to light each room and can then contact the electricity company to work out the total cost.

Activity 4: Temperature Survey - do you need the heating?
Pupils collect accurate temperature data both inside and outside the school and look at how temperature changes during the day. They also monitor the heating system and decide whether heating should be on or not.
