The Northumbrian Water GLOBE Project

Equipment

If your school or education centre is selected to join the Northumbrian Water GLOBE Project, you'll be given a Davis Vantage Pro2 Weather Station, including a combined rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors, and anemometer.  In addition, its wireless link means that it will transmit data to a PC in your school or education centre without any cables. Special software allows the data to be downloaded, interpreted and passed on to both GLOBE and Northumbrian Water.

What other equipment will I need?

In order for the Davis Weather Station to work, you'll need a PC - which could be any PC in your school or education centre, including a server.  The PC will need an internet connection in order to upload your data.
