The Cheshire Wildlife Trust works to protect the county's wildlife for the future. They offer advice, educational activities and volunteer opportunities. The website is packed with useful local information.

The Mersey Forest is cared for by a Trust, who provide lots of activities for the public to encourage careful use of the forest. The website has lots of information about the area and on line puzzles.

The Dee Estuary Strategy Zone website gives large amounts of information about the Dee Estuary. The website is not updated regularly but the information and resources are still relevant and well laid out.

The Wirral Environment Network is an umbrella group for environmental organisations in the Wirral area. You'll find masses of information and links to events, educational ideas and groups.

The South Cheshire Friends of the Earth has an educational programme for children relevant to the local area.
