The Living Coasts Centre is a coastal zoo focussing on conservation of coastal and marine life. Developed by Paignton Zoo the centre offers a great day out for visitors and school groups.

The Infomapper website is is an internet tool for working with OS maps and images. Huge amounts of information is available for school's geography departments - FAB.

The Offwell Woodland & Wildlife Trust website is packed full of information about habitats, restoration, wildlife, biodiversity and conservation. The site is difficult to leave - you will keep finding new puzzles, quizes, photos and interesting noises to investigate. The centre itself offers a huge range of educational activities for all ages.

The Wildlife Forever web site shows how one lady has changed her Devon garden to be a haven for wildlife. This fantastic website has tips, photos and help for any wildlife enthusiast.

The Dartmoor National Park web site is a great resource for facts about the area - check out the factsheets and leaflets. The education section is full of info for all age groups. You can also find information about guided walks, events and visiting the park.

The Devon Badger Watch allow the public an amazing opportunity to watch wild badgers in their natural habitat. Their site has all sorts of advise to help people observe, protect and understand badgers. The project also has information about doormice.

The Moor Trees is a charity dedicated to encouraging areas of Dartmoor to return to forest wilderness. They collect seeds, grow and then plant native trees around dartmoor. their website is full of information about the project and about how to get involved in this very worthwhile activity.

The South West Regional Biodiversity Partnership has been created to provide biodiversity information for and about all counties in the South West. You can download Local Biodiversity Plans for specific areas, get guidance for LBAPs and find out about all the local biodiversity events. The site is easy to navigate and packed with well presented and interesting information.

The South West Observatory pages host a mass of information about the state of the environment in the SW: about air and water quality, environmental indicators, the current state of the environment, local wildlife and pressures on our environment. Fantastic!
There are sections about local training events, and environmental education but it is mainly a library of information. I found the site fascinating - there is so much to find out and all local to the region.
