 ThamesWeb focuses on the conservation and management of the Thames. The site has masses on info for anyone interested in the Thames environment. The education pages link to topic sections about everything from air quality to fisheries.
The Green Chain walk links together green spaces in South East London. The creation of the Green Chain has helped to protect and improve London's open spaces so helping to prevent further building taking place. Each section of the chain is described in detail along with comments about the wildlife and points of interest.
London Sustainability Week will run from 5-19 June this year. It is a celebration of community and school projects promoting sustainability in all its guises, from recycling and saving energy to building community intiatives and tackling food deserts. World Environment Day, Bike Week, National Car Share Day, London Open Gardens weekend all take part during the week. Full details of more than 250 events events are available from the website.
Thames 21 address poor local environmental quality on the Thames, its tributaries and the canals throughout London. The website has masses of information about all the projects carried out by the group including ways to get involved and brill kids pages. A really interesting site.
