The Green Chain walk links together green spaces in South East London. The creation of the Green Chain has helped to protect and improve London's open spaces so helping to prevent further building taking place. Each section of the chain is described in detail along with comments about the wildlife and points of interest. London Sustainability Week will run from 5-19 June this year. It is a celebration of community and school projects promoting sustainability in all its guises, from recycling and saving energy to building community intiatives and tackling food deserts. Thames 21 address poor local environmental quality on the Thames, its tributaries and the canals throughout London.
