The Wildlife Trust in Staffordshire manages 1,980 acres of land in the county. Their website is a great source of information and is very easy to navigate. 
The West Midlands Biodiversity Partnership promote biodiversity conservation, co-ordinate biodiversity action plan activity, and tackle strategic issues. There is a great page about biodiversity. 
West Midland Bird Club provides information, lecture, tours and research into bird life in the region. They will email you with a bulletin about new sightings and welcome tips and ideas from local ornithologists. 
The National Forest is a forest in the making. 200 square miles in the English Midlands where you can witness and enjoy the physical creation of a forest and be involved in its development as part of the nation's future heritage. The Growing Forest pages give masses of information about new forest, conservation and history. 
The WMnet Climate Change in the Curriculum programme is designed to encourage and support teaching and learning about climate change during the school year September 2005 to July 2006. There are activities and projects to increase the use of broadband technologies and foster new ways of teaching and learning.
